Piodor Gustafsson is appointed Director of Scripted Content
Piodor Gustafsson will join TV4 Media in September, as Director of Scripted Content for the Nordics and Baltics.
“Piodor is one of the industry’s most experienced, knowledgeable and well-qualified people. It is absolutely fantastic that he is joining our team as we are adopting to a new position and taking an overall approach to the Nordics and Baltics,” says Åsa Sjöberg, content director at TV4 Media, of the recruitment.
Piodor Gustafsson is one of Sweden’s most experienced and highly regarded film and television producers. He has won multiple awards, most recently a Guldbagge for the film Border and also as a co-producer of the film The Wife for which the lead role’s Glenn Close won a Golden Globe and was Oscar nominated. For C More and TV4, he has recently produced the acclaimed series Moscow Noir and Stockholm Requiem. Most recently, he set up and operated the production company Spark and has, among many other things, also been commissioner for culture and drama at SVT and a film consultant at the Swedish Film Institute.
Piodor Gustafsson has now been recruited for a new role as Nordic Director of Scripted Content for TV4 Media.
“It will be really fun and inspiring to come in and take responsibility for the overall range of scripted content in the group. Josefine Tengblad and her Swedish team, as well as Jani Hartikainen and his Finnish team, are doing a fantastic job and it will be both exciting and challenging to jointly make TV4, C More and MTV the first choice for viewers and users who love scripted,” says Piodor.
Piodor will report to content director Åsa Sjöberg, who is very pleased to have brought Piodor to her team.
“We continue to invest heavily in scripted, and with Piodor on board we strengthen the team immensely. It is a joy and a pleasure to welcome him. I look forward to all the fantastic content our already strong drama team can achieve under his direction,” says Åsa Sjöberg.
